My lease ends at the end of this month. I don’t have a job right now, but will by the end of the week. I worry that I will be unable to sign a new lease because this will not be enough time working for this employment reference. Does anyone know the specific requirements of employment length when signing a lease?
I have been self-employed and in college this past year, how can I reference this or sign a lease with this if necessary?

For a new tenant, usually a year. For a renewal, they usually do not enforce any requirements as long as you have been paying the rent on time and they have not had problems with you.
if you already have a lease and it’s ending, some places with allow you to go month to month with a little extra fee. or if you already have the lease and you know you can afford to sign another one, i don’t think that you changing jobs will matter. They know you have a past history with them so they may not even ask where you are working now. I don’t think they can deny you a new lease because you have changed jobs anyway. All they want is their rent every month without fail.
Hope this helps
It is entirely up to the landlord and their requirements. They are the ones to approve or disapprove your request.
